21st Century Special
2nd Challenger - Bobby Flay
The tasting panel is:

Actor Ryuta Mine
Actress Miho Kan-no
Yokozuna Akebono-Zeki
Head something of American Embassy to Japan, Christopher J Le Fleur (?)
Culinary Critic, Asako Kishi

I thought it interesting to have 2 Americans (Le Fleur and Akebono) on the panel.  Throughout the match, Akebono seemed to be very pro Flay, speaking to him in English, encouraging him and even doing the same childlike "Raise the roof" motions as Flay.

I advise reading Noda's transcript for judges comments.

Flay prepares 5 dishes:

1) Spicy marinated lobster with coconut milk and avocado

2) lobster fruit salad with hot sauce

3) boiled lobster, Mexican style (Tamari)

4) Butterfly, mango and carrot sauce

5) Surf and Turf (sauce is dijon mustard, horse radish, honey)

I though of Flays presentation of this dish to be extremely Eastern-like.

Morimoto counters:

Top Left: Drunken Lobster, served with Japanese lime and salt

Bottom?: Three appetizers

Top right: Sushi roll, fried and served with cheese sauce

Top Middle: Shabu shabu (dip)

Actress Miho Kanno was devoured the drunken lobster with many oieshi's... Akebono was grinning all the time and sucking his fingers (not shown).
4-1 decision, devasting!
Kaga appears to be unhappy after both Tetsujin were defeated.
In retrospect, this was a great match despite Flay's behavior at the end.  Both chefs showed immense artistry and creativity.
